97 SP500 Steering

Default 97 SP500 Steering


Today while riding I lifted up oon the handlebars and they came up abut 2". Definitely something wroong. Is there a bushing that may have gone bad and hooow hard is it to change if their is oone.

Default 97 SP500 Steering

steering post bushing #15 . You can replace it with OEM or you could get a stronger one from hot seat or hpd. The hpd bushing has grease grooves in it and the hot seat does not.

Check this thread also Bushing just some more info, could be the rubber washer but I doubt it with that much play.
