#1
Hey everybody, is 1,500 a good price for a 86 atc 250R??? I rode it a few days ago, hasen't been ran in a couple years.. I put some gas in it and kicked it 3 times and it fired right off.. I slid it around a corner and got it on one wheel... IT IS AN AWESOME MACHINE!!!!! Just wondering what it's worth... thanks,
David

I'd have a hard time paying more than $1200 for one unless it is in mint and original condition (stock fenders, tires, etc...). Unfortunately they are getting hard to find and the days of finding a nice one for 800 or 900 dollars seem to be almost gone. But if it is really clean I would say it is worth it, it is the most awesome ATV ever built.

AMEN, I think I'll get it if he'll sell it to me. Oh yeah, It does have the stock fenders and tires.. the guy raced it for one year and put a piston and something else in it... but it's almost completely stock..

I paid $500 for my 86 ATC250r it needed clutches and sat in a barn for the last 6 or 7 years, put the new clutches in and a new spark plug it started like 2nd or 3rd kick. will pull wheelies in all 6 gears. clocked it @ 86 mph next to a streetbike on the road last weekend, I was pretty close to top end, that is fast enuf 4 me.

I'll give mine up when they pry it from my cold dead hands. I could never stand to sell it unless someone offered me a ridiculous amount of money for it. When I bought it took it home and completely disassembled it, sandblasted it and repainted the frame. 4 years later I did it again but had the frame powdercoated sterling silver with a +10" gun metal grey swingarm and a completely ported motor. There is a part of me in that bike and I'll probably never get rid of it even when I am too old to ride it anymore.
