Outlander 400 and 330 performance?
#1
Has anyone rode both of these? What is the performance difference? If they are close I may get the 330 and save some $$. How does the 330 compare to the Eiger 400 or Prairie 360?

Depends on what kind of riding you do. If you ride in deep mud or like to go fast, buy the biggest motor you can afford. You won't regret it. If you just putt around the woods or farm, save some money.

I too am interested in anyones experience on these bikes.
How does the suspension feel in the rear with that pivoting arm?
How does it feel in the corners?
Has anyone heard of any rumors about the 650cc engine going into this bike in the near future?
Thanks,
sssr

Aprils issue of DW did a review on the 300 and 400 and they said the power was major.. Get the 400 and dont worry about the $$ its worth it in the long run..
In Mays issue, I just got mine they did a review on the 400 classes.. They said the OL400 smoked everything in speed. But the Prarie 360 was 2nd.. The 360 was better in mud due to the locking front hubs. Hope that helped.

I have two of the Outlander 400's and they corner and ride fantastic. I do a lot of trail riding at high speeds... thus corning and keeping me off of the trees is pretty important to my riding style. It is a great ride, while making sense for someone who lives in a climate where snow is going to be around for 4 or 5 months out of the year.
I have not read a single review anywhere that didn't conclude that this was a great ATV. What I did see in comparing the 330 to the 400 was that the extra dollars were viewed as being worth it to get the snap that you will receive out of the 400 cc model.
Expect to pay between $5,500 and $5900. Don't let the dealers tell you that they all get the same price... not true. Find your higher volume dealer who gets a price break from Bombardier based on their existing dealer discount schedule.
Good luck,
Kaz

On the spec sheets the 330 requires about 1500rpm more to get its HP, you would have to asume torque Rpm would also be higher. In off-road situations LOW end grunt is whats required, however if you just trail riding I think the 330 would be very sporty for its size.

Arctic330, you remind me of the Cat guys on the snowmobile forums trying to start sh*t on the other brand forums. Why don't you go do your homework and leave the adults alone. Go ask your daddy if it didn't cost more to get a bigger motor in his car or truck? Duh!
