Default I need your opinion$?????

I need help. In the next couple of days I will be trading my Recon for a bigger 4x4 quad. I've got it narrowed down to 3 quads, 2003 4x4 Kodiak 400, 2003 Big Bear 4x4 400, and a used 2002 Honda foreman es 4x4 450 (with locking differ.) Since i'm trading my recon I don't figure that I would get a good deal on a new one, The dealer has the 2002 Foreman with only 250 miles on it, and it seems to be a pretty nice quad. The dealer quoted me a price of $2,650.00 plus my 2000 recon, he is asking $4,900.00. I don't know what they would ask for difference for the Yamahas but I will probably will get a quote. I need to know what you guys think of this situation and what are your opinions on what would be the best deal for me???? Any help will be greatly appreciatted.

thanks,

Have you liked your Recon? If you have I would stick with the Foreman if it checks out. I haven't looked up the numbers but that doesn't seem to bad of a trade.

250 miles is really not that far. I would look at the air filter to see if it has been maintained. I would look at how much the brake pads have left on them. Look at the condition of the oil. Just check the quad out really good all over, even the frame and when you start it at the dealer make sure it is a cold start for you to see how it acts. Check out the ES shift through all speeds. I don't like the ES system myself because potential problems but most owners are trouble free. If you suspect anything I would walk because there will always be another used quad somewhere else. Just don't fall in love with one quad.

Good Advice "RaptorYFM", it is always a good idea to chek over any used quad before buying it, the 450es is a Solid quad with a good 4x4 system and a "Bullet Proof" Engine(says 4-wheel atv action)but that depends on wether you want an electronic shifter on it, but that shifter can really come in handy in deep mud riding or if you ever decide to Go Riding in deep water. that Quote the dealer gave you sounds reasonable for that quad. Plus they are Supposed to be Dependable too.
