I was reading Motocross Action last night....and found that the WR 450 is electric start! That's gotta be the best thing since steering stablizers for MX racers! It's also a 5 spd and has some extra weight on the flywheel.

It has alittle less aggressive cam grinds, but that should be the only thing you'll have to change out. Get me a frame! I WANT ONE!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Check to be sure the cam in actually different. In the past, you just had to change the timing by one tooth to have the WR be like the YZ.

My prediction is that this is a test for a new quad engine. I really think that you will see the electric start 450 in a quad within a year. Maybe an '04 or '05 model? JMO

It was said yesterday to look in next months Dirt Doo for a Yamaha 450. Mickey D said it soooo, also said he has somebody riding one in the gncc races, or will be ridding one.

 

Dunlap was talking about a Yamaha 450 with 6 speeds and reverse that he built up... that's going to be a Warrior peeps...
