MBRP does not need jetting????
#1
If the MBRP pipe does not require a jet size increase can it really perform better at WOT. Seems it must only be a low and middle range benefit. It seems the talk is that it is a good performance pipe, but i'm confused. Help me understand this...

A pipe alone is not going to requier alot of jetting, but when you add a superior air-filter along with the pipe it is reqiured to re-jett. The MBRP is a pipe designed to get you a better over-all powerband with out having to wear ear pluggs. But I know they also have a RACE SERIES pipe out now that will give you a much more aggressive top-end hit, but like all the others will require ear-plugs. YOU CANNOT HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. if you want a quiet pipe with good gains on the bottom, you will not gain uch(if any) on top. And thats with ALL brands of pipes.
What makes the MBRP pipe stand out IMO, is that it biult totally different than the others, and seems to have a very nice fit& finish to it.

you'r right about the mbrp race pipe needing ear plugs it is LOUD!! but hey you want kick there you go. i put on the spark arrestor screen and that took alot of the bark away. i think i'll try 2 screens when i trail ride and open for racing. with the screens on it is about as loud as my graydon was with 18 supertrapp disc not bad at all.

Thanks for the info.
I understand that you will need to get air in as well as out. But if I was going to change from a slip-om the MBRP race pipe, i didn't want to go back to a smaller size jet. due to the pipe being as restrictive as a stock pipe at WOT.
thanks
