Default Wiring KLR250 CDI For Mojave

I'm planning to add Web racing cams to my Mojave. I recently purchased a used CDI from 1989 KLR250 (ebay $26!). I need to know how to wire this CDI to work on my Mojave. There are two plugs coming out of both units, the color codes seem to match. However, the KLR CDI has one extra red with black stripe wire. I assume it's necessary to swap the plug ends putting the corresponding colors from the KLR box into the Mojave plug. What should I do with the extra wire? Anyone have a wiring diagram?

Switch the mo plugs to the klr box matching collors. Connect the extra red wire to the other red wire that is the same color so that two red klr wires go to the one mojave plug red wire.

you will notice in the seat of pants especially if you have cams and other motor work where you need the quicker advance. Will not improve top speed. will not hurt reliability unless it gives you a detination on accell that you did not have with the stock box. This can happen and if it does you will need higher octane fuel.
