I am interested in obtaining this box but would to here from the guys running them now. Only mods to my machine are K&N filter and 22 " rear tires. Do not plan on any other mods except jet kit later. What kind of gains did you see? Better top or low? Good bang for the buck???? Thanks

 

The ron woods box is awesome all around ing box and dose have a better curve than stock and no rev limiter which is nice[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] but since your going to spend the money to do this why not get the vortex it's cheaper i belive and is much more adpitable to your style of riding just check it out any way's well good luck !!

 

the woods is a good cdi i think they are 285. but they are limited in what they do, they let you rev the ds. the vortex is new, and offers more options, there is going to be one from msd someday try tvi on that one.

 

the RWR cdi is the single best mod ive done, the removal of the stock rev limiter allows you to unleash the DS power, I may be wrong but im 99% sure the RWR unit has a rev limiter it is just much higher than stock, there are units out there with no limits though.. i think Pami?

the box is a solid mod i would definatly sugeest getting one, there is one on ebay right now, and i belive that its the graydon cdi that has a 9300 rev limit and the pami and rwr both have no limit.

 

the RWR is a awesome buy opened up my top end and now the ds really flies . great if have piped it and rejetted this monster.

OK, you sold me on the RWR CDI Box....just ordered one. I have a dumb question though....is this a straight replacement for the stock CDI, or will I have to do some re-wiring to get this to work?
