Default Need New Tires!! Need Help!!

I am somewhat new to 4 wheeling. I have a AC 500i and the stock tires are a joke. I want new tires, and maybe rims, but I have no idea how big I can go without having to lift it. What size rims can go on it, what size tires can fit the stock rims? Will 27x10x12 fit the front stock rims and will 27x12x12 fit the rear stock rims? If not what size rim should I buy? Please help, my buddy's Honda Foreman is pulling me out of the mud every weekend!! I can't have that happen now can I?

You shouldnt have to lift with 27s, and ya anytire that has a 12 at the end of the spec (rim size) should fit np. Id becarefull on the lift and how high you go. There have been quite a few broken cvs, axles etc. I think all the ACs use a 12x7 4/115 rim size.

Luvthemud, let me know what tires you want and I can get you a good deal on just about anything you might be looking for. Rims too, if you decide you want 'em.

I think the Delta ITP rims (plain ones, steel) are like 69.00 Canadian each, so prolly round 45 USD? Bang for the buck?? Maybe Gators...

Yes those tires are on stock rims. I believe that some guys on here have mounted 28's on the stock rims with no problems. If you need other rims, ITP as Vewdew stated are pretty generic and cheap.

I think you can put any size tire on the cat without a lift.

DO NOT GET OFFSET RIMS!!!!!!!

Thats what I did, even though I never intended for them to be offset. If the rims are offset return them or you will journy now the road to hell with busted axle shafts, like me.

Other than that warning go ahead buy what ever size tire you want.

i put gators on my cat and i think there awsom and my tires are 28x12x12 on the back and 28x10x12 on the front and i put them on stock rims, you could put 12s on the front also but your tires will look like there buldging but thay'll fit though. if you want bang for your buck check out the mud lites thay are an excelent mud and snow tire. gators only have 1 1/4 inch tread where as the mud lites have 1 1/2 inch treads. but i do love my gators and the look sweet on it also. check my pics and see for your self. thay dont call them gators for nothing.
