do aftermarket pipes lose power?
#1
i was looking at these dyno results on blaster central that tried out aftermarket pipes like ct,trinity, fmf, graydon, lrd and it seemed like the stock had more power except for one small RPM range that the aftermarket pipe had a little more.is a aftermarket pipe worth the power when it loses power?also what pipe works best for all around power improvement that will work on tt and mx racing?

LRD they make an adjustable pipe that you can set to what ever your riding style or chance at any time. Aftermarket pipes do not slow the bike down. Put one on your bike and tel me that the stock set up was faster. Ill bet you will see a big difference. Also take the air box lid off and put a kn filter with pre filter and jet the carb to the right size to accomandate the new pipe. Some people buy a new pipe and dont jet the carb the bike will run bad and you will not see the real performance of the pipe.

The fmf gold series pipe improves power alot. when u got the combo the gold series pipe comes with a tyrbine power core silencer I think. it is worth the money and yes improves power and torque.I have a DG pipe and a stock silencer adn my friend has gold series pipe and silencer combo and has me off the line. But I changed my rear sproket so I have more top end so i catch up. But if u get a pipe u dint have to do that crap to the carb.

Get the fmf gold series fatty, and either the turbine core 2 or power core2. The power is the same between the 2. What you were looking at on BC was with the lid removed and lrd jet kit for the stock setup. yes the aftermarket fmf will give you a good low and great mid range increase. You must rejet after installing the pipe or you will be running lean.

I don't have a blaster any more but I know on my 250r my FMF gs fatty power core 2 combo helped alot I do notice maybe a little less low end but mid range-top end there is a big increase the hill we drag race up is long but not steep when I had my stock pipe and silencer and was running my 300ex's 22 inch tires it would bog and I would have to shift to 5 now with my pipe and silencer it pulls them easily in 6 only way faster. my bike is also ported so this might help.

Pro Circuit pipes and silencer have been around for a while with dirt bikes. My friend had a KX 250 with pro circuit combo and it sounded crisp and there was alot of power. The pual Turner pipes I heard were pretty sweet. They got good sound and mad torque and power increase
