Default Mods for SHEE

I have the opportunity to pick up a 2000 shee for couple of thousand. What kind of cost would I be looking at to get 80 + hp of it with the stock stroke. Maybe a Trinity 400 pv?? Any suggestions would help I'm looking to get something faster than my Raptor for all out sand drags!!

The 400 pv kit is the one that uses cheetah cylinders, or really it is a monoblock. Anyway, I hear great things about them, but they have not been around too long. If you are going to try and get 80hp out of it, you need to weld and true the crank, you can get an aftermarket crank, but if you are doing that, might as well get the 4mm stroker for about the same money.

Or you could have your crank trued and welded, not sure what that costs.

With the cheetahs you could probably get about that much power, but you would also need carbs, probably 35's. I hear the cheetahs love big carbs. I have heard of the mini stroker kits using 38's and getting some real good power out of them.

One problem I have heard of with the cheetahs is pipes, alot wont fit and clear the carbs. The cheetah cylinders sit the intakes back further and up a little I think. I hear trinity pipes will fit, and that they have been making good power, but for all out drags, a drag pipe would fit and work and you would not have to worry about clearance.

I dont have them, but have been researching them. I will probably get some down the road, for the first stage build I am going to a 4mm stroke, with porting setup for it. Should be a month or two to get it done and should be in the 75 hp range, could be higher if I went for a drag port, but I am doing a more mild build.

Hope that gives you some ideas
Bat

The only thing I found to make the banshee rip is 2 Yamaha V-max 4 cylinders. At the time I was waiting for one of the after market companys to sell me a monoblock. They were testing or screwing around or something but I couldn't wait. So I made my own. Otherwise I like the idea of the powervalve mono block. It should be the best bolt-on to get. It won't be 80 real hp. But it will be fun.
