Predator rear slides too much?
#1
I rode on my track at my job site today, and the Predator was awesome, especially on the 40' jumps. But one thing that I had a problem with is, when I go into a sharp corner, my rear end would slide to much. At one time it slid so much, I let off the throttle to stop it, then the next thing I know, I'm rolling on the ground. So for you MX pro's, Is my suspension in the front to soft, or is there something else. This thing steers very easy, am I over steering. Other then this, I am very happy with the Predator. One last thing, going to get a tether cord. When I fall off bike, bike wants to keep going. I don't like seeing a $6500 worth of bike riding with out a rider.

G'day GE4x4.
As you come in to the corner drop your bum of the side of seat to the inside of the corner.
And if the back swings out past the point of no return, try to keep the rear tyres spinning while easing the front brakes on, and do a full circle. I use the tether and it works well.
Good luck, Geoff.

The predator has very quick steering, I've had a problem adjusting to this myself, just last weekend I was picking myself off the ground after I tag'd a 33" truck tire that we have set up in one off the corners of our practice track. I pitched it into the corner to soon and the next thing I know is I'm fly'n over the bars. You have to ride with alittle more weight towards the back, you kind of have to drive it more than ride it.
As far as suspension settings I am running NO PRELOAD on my rear spring to help to the a$$ end down,(I only weigh about 150#'s). Does the inside rear tire come off the ground when you go around a banked high speed corner? If so add preload to the front and lean more towards the inside. This quads take alot of body english to get them handle and hook up. I mean they have alot of power so its harder to put the power to the ground.
What tire pressure are you running, I would lower the presure to help it hook up better & not slide as much. Personally I'm not a big fan of razor tires, I've always have had better luck with holeshots. I just put a set of 18x10x8's on mine
You really need to get a kill switch, I would recommend the one made buy Pro Design, there $40 and much better than the one Polaris sells. The Polaris unit is harder to get snap'd together. One other thing is just get out and play with the suspension settings and find setting that works for you.
