I own a Banshee..

The Grizzly is an automatic transmission
The Raptor is manual

They may have the same motor but the Raptor is geared for racing, also the sprocket sizes are different on the Raptor giving it faster acceleration, the tires are race tires, and are a lot lighter than the Grizzly tires. The Raptor frame is a lot lighter, the carburators are different, jetted different for performance. All the excess weight has been removed, different reed valves, and exhaust, no speed restrictor....etc.....

the grizz and the raptor aren't the exact same engine what yamaha means when they say that that they are both based on 5 valves
