haven't seen any aftermarket case covers for the DS yet but the stock cover are aluminum and polish up beautifully- go to.......... and see what they offer. sorry - the software on this site screens the name of certain suppliers now that they don't want talked about! man this is a load o BS
we come to this forum to share info as enthusiast and we can't do that any longer

Major,

I hear you. We don't like suppressing company names either.

The software suppresses names of companies who ABUSED these forums. In other words, if the name is filtered it means the company came here in violation of our no advertising policy and, and this is key-- REPETITIVELY, violated the no advertising rules. Because the company refused to respect the rules, we had no choice but to have the software enforce the rules.

No company name is ever surpressed for 1, or 2 or even 3 abuses.

If they advertise, we remove the message and email them politely mentioning the forum rules and suggesting that they read the FAQ.

After say, 5 or 6 times, of this happening...we let the software handle it rather than creating on-going work for our volunteer moderators.

He actually did leave the forums?? That's too bad. He was pretty good about responding to most anything, and his being on the forums predated his business.

Just sharing info as an enthusiast.

Other forum users (not me or any moderators) were giving Marky grief for always making posts that were basically advertisements. Marky emailed me and asked me to delete his account.

So Marky left? He sells most of the products from the manufactures that advertise here. I understand rules are rules and certain people pay for certain things but..... IMO he is just helping us riders out by offering us parts a a good price minus the rediculous mark up. Also I have never had a problem with customer service. I wish i had Bombardier dealers in my area that had half the custermer service and experience with the DS as Marky and hes only 1 person. And this is not a advertisment.

Oregon - usually once a company is in the spam filter we don't remove them. I didn't even know what company was being referred to in this topic. We may be able to remove Marky's company. I'll take it under consideration.

DSJobber - There are many, many dealers on here whom you would never know is a dealer. They participate as enthusiasts and talk about ATVs just for the love of the sport. And thats what the forums are truly meant for. Because we also had dealers who were asking about sharing information about their products here, we added the "Preferred Vendors" to the forums. Only the Preferred Vendors are able to disclose they are a dealer and to talk about their products here. This is all outlined in the FAQ.

Oregon,

Other people aren't restricted in what they can tell you. You guys can talk about whatever you want. Some companies are in the spam filters because of previous abuses by the company.

They were added to keep the company from abusing the forums, not to keep other users from talking about that company. If a company is in the filters, you might consider asking them why they weren't more respectful of the forum rules so that people like yourself could talk about their stuff without having the filters getting in the way.
