Default has anyone installed the (PLASMA BOOSTER)on their raptor?

i am wanting to add more power to my raptor while still retaining all the reliability i can and the idea behind the plasma booster sounds good on paper but i would like to hear from anyone who actually uses it on their raptor.it would seem that a hotter spark that is consistent in its output capacity would be a more efficient way to burn fuel and make power but if you have information to the contrary please fill me in.even a true 1 to 2 horsepower gain across the rpm range would be very noticeable so if it does at least that then it would be worth it to me.there is not much info on how much is involved in installing one of these so i would like to hear from anyone that has put one on your raptor and what was involved..

duneittilludie,
i installed the plasma bosster on my 2001 raptor, i could tell a difference with, quicker throttle response and little more power, i let a friend ride it and he could tell a difference. with the sparks plug boot off i took a plug put it in it touched the side of motor 1 spark every now and then but with the plasma booster it was 4 sparks every now and then instead of 1. it only has 2 wires 1 for ground to the battery and 1 that goes to the coil in front unplug stock connecter and plug in the plasma connecter plug stock connector on to the plasma connector and that is it. the box goes under set in the compartment where the battery is. i only ran mine for 2 weekends the 2nd transmission went out, how much did it cost you to get the 02 trans installed?? i am thinking of getting the alba racing kit they sell for the 02 gears conversion. did you do it yourself or somebody else??

DARLINGTONRAPTOR- thanks for the info about the plasma booster that is the kind of response i was looking for.my transmission was done by a dealer on the oregon coast near where i do most of my riding and the total cost including labor was about 700.00 which seems to be a better price than most people have had to pay. i would also suggest that you get all the 2002 transmission parts so that everything works together properly,i have heard of some people trying to save money by installing only some of the new parts and the rebuild did not hold up.

On the tranny, give Craycraft racing a call.

They have great prices. You'll be VERY surprised if you've been getting quotes in the ranges you're talking about when you speak to Bob.
