Default Raptor Swing Arm crisis.......

I had my stock swing arm extended 3" by Bullet Fab about 6 months ago and it's cracking at the welds where the extension attaches They clearly dont hold up to desert /dune abuse. I suppose I could have it welded again but I'm guessing it's just gonna keep cracking. I can only imagine the carnage if it broke off at speed !?

So......I'm now in the market for a DURABLE swing arm and I was wondering if they normally have the bearings and seals installed by the mfg ?
Are they normally tabbed out for the skid plate, brake line bracket, ect.....??
Are the rear shock mount locations normally the same as stock dimensions - Will my Elka shock (bolts up in stock location) fit or will I need a longer shock?

I'll search the posts for reccomendations on brand but if anybody knows of any to definately stay away from please let me know !!

My crisis is that I have a race on May 3rd and need something quick !

Thanks in advance - Eric

I have heard nothing but good things about the Tucker arm.

Sorry about the cracks. I have broke my stocker twice and it won't stay together any more now. Aluminum is so hard to weld, from what I have been told.

i just noticed the same problem on my 4" over swingarm (cracks where it was extended) and i have only had mine out for two trips.i am thinking that maybe a quality steel unit might the way to go but i will give the dealer a chance to fix it first and see how it holds up.a swingarm coming apart at speed is not a pleasant thought so i think i will watch the new one very carefully for stress cracks.

I'm pretty much sold on the +4 Tucker (got all the details from ebay). I'm just hoping he can get one to me quick. I need to have it installed and test ridden by the 28th.......the clock is ticking......worse case I'll have the cracks welded but i'm gonna be pounding it for a 100 mile race and I'm worried it could break (not good in Mexico, hot, desert, 30-50 miles from a truck or any real help).

I'll try to get some pics of the cracks - gotta borrow a camera.

Thanks for the feedback -

I just got off the phone with Jeremy at Tucker - super nice guy and he's going to get the +4 arm (fully loaded, greased, and ready to install) to me by this Friday ! He seems to be really concerned with customer satisfaction, GREAT pricing, and standing by his products - that's refreshing these days.

Cant wait till I get it !

I'll definately have a post race report and product review. I've raced this course two other times and got a 2nd and 3rd (in the pushin 40 on a big 4-stoke class) and now it's my turn to take it ! I'll definately do my best to stay in my envelope - ya gotta finish to finish first !
