Default need advise

i am planning on purchasing a used atv, i will be buying a used model

i am looking for something that i can ride on dirt trails, gravel, and the occasional mud (but not all the time)

also my little brother just got a kx125 dirtbike and i want to be able to be faster than him or at least keep up

will the warrior perform to the level i need or should i just get a banshee?

all answers appreciated

I am not sure how fast the kx125 will go. But the Warrior's top speed is around 61mph stock. The Warrior has 6 forward gears and reverse. The Warrior is a little heavy for a sport quad. If you've driven a more agile atv you might notice the difference. The Warrior also has a kind of cruiser feel to it because of the positioning of the bars, seat, and foot pegs. It doesn't invite you to stand as easy as other quads. I liked my Warrior but if I buy another used sport quad. I would buy a used 400EX. Depending on your experience, height and weight. Maybe a 300EX, blaster, or mojave would fit your needs just as well.

in order to beat a kx125 you will need more then a warrior unless you have like a 500 kit in it.. my 00 warrior with a kn suppertrap pipe 15t and 40t sprockets i could not keep up with my bros kx100 so you need to get like a used 440ex or 400 banshee i think ne way to keep up wiht a 125 my 2 c

I think that the 400EX came out in 1999 and it is faster than the Warrior. I think the Warrior came out in 1987. So there's alot more used Warriors out there. Buy a Honda 250R 2-stroke, they stopped making that in 1989.

Don't get a warrior or a banshee!

Get a suzuki quadsport Z400 it will deffinately keep up with that 125, it also has 10 inches of ground clearance which is good for gravel, mud, rocks, and just about anything that the trail brings your way.

if you are going to ride trails count out the banshee, the warrior is also a bit clunky. get a z400, but i don't think you will find one used so get a 400ex.
