Default Raptor 686 vs. DS 703

I have a 686 raptor with a 11:1 piston a hot cams stage two cam with new valve springs, my head was ported by craycraft. Does any one have a good guess at what kind of HP its makeing right now? My buddy is getting ready to turn his DS into a 703 and i am wondering if i should be worried about him beating me now? I read that the 703 kit for his quad makes 55-60 HP!!

You shouldn't have any problems. Equaly weighted riders of course.

Smoken- no worrys. Last week the baby craycraft ran up agaist a 703 pammi on alky and won a few and lost a few. It was a 11-1, web 696/697 with craycraft porting and coating. The races it lost were less than a quad length. That pammi 703 was the fastest 703 to date that i have seen. It had everything in it. So a regular 703 on gas should not be a big worry.

oh you'll have problems if he has his headwork done right. its more than bore you know - you didn't get all your extra hp from 26cc's, he can tap into cams and porting too, but he better be replacing his carb. you should be worried.

from my experience it takes a 760 on alky to equal a craycraft 686......

I think DSmike put rostinou 703 together. That quad has headwork. They built it to fly but so do craycrafts. Rooster is lacking dual carbs at the moment. That will pick his up a lot but it was running great. Dusty knows alky. Without dual carbs dusty's 703 is the strongest 703 i have seen. His dyno numbers were better than Randys 760 from 6 months ago, on the exact same dyno. We pulled his file up and looked at it. Rooster will beat 99 percent of the rappys that he comes across with that pammi. I am glad i have craycraft.

Dusty's biggest problem is his size. Great for fighting, bad for racing

14mins - you're going off on tangents here, i don't know about smokenDS but I for one don't know everybody and all these names and stuff in your posts don't get me any closer to finding anything anything out.

I come over here to this side of the forums very seldom, and each time I do I'm immediately reminded of why. It actually still amazes me, although I sure don't know why.
