Would I be stupid to buy a 2001 Raptor? I mean are the trannies really that weak? The reason
I'm asking is that I just sold my old fourwheeler yesterday and I'm looking for a reasonably priced
quad. (and it has to smoke my friend's 400ex)

Get the good old time proven banshee. Ever hear about weak trannies in them? Doubt it. A shee will eat an ex for lunch.. And undoubtibly u could get a shee for cheaper than a rappy

I think I would rather get a Raptor, although you did get me thinking about the Banshee. Both would be fun at the dunes. My main question is whether I would regret getting a 2001 Raptor, of if I would be smarter to look around for a 2002.

 

wait for the 02.. or find a 01 that had the trans rebuilt...

 

get a 02 or newer, 1 less thing to worry about.
