Need help with jetting a Raptor
#1
I am going to buy the Pro Design intake system with K&N. I need to know how hard it is to change the jetting. Will the instructions tell my how step-by-step. If not I was going to have the dealer do it, but they charge 70 dollars an hour for labor. Is there any web sites that can tell me step-by-step. I would like to know how to do it myself because I'm planning on getting the Yoshi Full exhaust for it sometime soon.
I have no other mods at this time. Oh yeah and it is a 2003 model. Thanks for all your help people.

I would wait until you get an exhaust and do it all at once. Get the GYTR jet kit. Jetting is real easy but there are a few shortcuts and things to look for when doing it. Have you used the search feature on the yamaha page just above the page numbers? Type in jet or jetting and click search and you'll have pages of info.

Does it matter if you don't have an aftermarket pipe when you jet your quad? I am looking to jet my raptor, but I only have a k&n air filter and don't have the money for a yoshimura yet. Can't I jet it now and then change them when I get my pipe? How much power will I get with just an air filter and no pipe? any info or links would help. Thanks.
