Well people. I went out and bought myself a 2000 DS 650.
Here's the package :
Ron Woods Complete Exhaust
Ron Woods CDI
Ron Woods TM45 (i think, don't know which carb, just know it's not stock)
K&N Filter(power kit) and Jet Kit
Maybe some other stuff...(the owner didn't know much about it)
The quad is in perfect showroom condition. Well nearly, the front left fender has a crack on it(from unloading I guess). The skids are barely scratched and he has all the maintenance records. The plastic is perfect and you can see it has never been rolled. The footpegs look brand new and everything works great. It also came with an unused sweet-looking helmet, full racing suit, a set of Maxxis Sur Traks, the dominators and all the original parts.
The sound coming from that pipe is downright deafening. Never seen anything like it. No spark arrestor as I can see, 6 inch flames were coming out from time to time when he revved it(when it was cold tho). Are flames normal?
Anyway, I'd like to send a huge @ss thanks to everyone that has helped me in my decision. Especially lilnotts, Sandman, brad650, pushinthelimit and I can't think of any others just now since i'm so excited. Anyway, Thank you.
Hope I made the right choice.

you can repack that muffler, so now that you can start living up to that name we want pictures. sounds like you got a nice ds with those parts you have the makings of a real fast quad. no monster mud tires came with it i want to hear how they work in the snow, well be sure and order that front sprocket soon and if you like those wheelies as much as you claim you better order that rear grab bar soon prm standard is like $28 bucks and they are tuff .

I just bought a 03' Baja Saturday and it's one of the smoothest riding quads I've ridden. My Polaris was smooth but not as smooth as the DS. I ordered a HMF slipon today and TM45 kit will be on order soon. On tight trails it's horrible but most of my riding is on open sand. I'll use the EX for trails. DS's are well built quality machines from what I've seen so far.
