Default Raptor valvetrain beware!!!

anybody that has modded their raptors should pay close attention to this.

on the camshaft gear there are two weights that control the decompression mechanism.

these two weights are held in place by pins that are pressed into the gear.

if these pins come out you will break the valve cover, and timing chain(when the chain goes at anything above idle, piston and valves will come into contact)

WELD THOSE PINS!!

that is the only thing that can save your engine.

i hope my loss can be your gain.

Stupid question? How many people has this happened to?

The reason I ask is Those weights would pe putting pretty good pressure on those pins at above idol and I would think that would force them to stay in place pretty well, but I guess anything is possible. Was just curious if it had actually happened to anyone or not.
