Default The Hungry valley experiance!!!

Well Number #5 is up and running strong as an OX!!! No runs, no drips and especially no ERRORS! I found out that my temperature switch has a short in it so I hard wired my fan to a Toggle, works great! Thanks Larry! I barley ever had to turn it on today!! I was running at about 170 to 180 all day long!!! But with great power unfortuantley comes great responsibility! Just ask Blackhawk! I must have been in a daze or something today because I went did a perfect vertical NOSE PLANT right off a 6ft. cliff into the wash!!! OUCH!!!!! It didn't hurt my bike at all! Good mounting job of my Oil Pressure Gauge JIM!!!!!! Didn't even scratch it!! I pretty much thought I had broke my Freaking left leg though!!! I shook it off but the pain got worse as the day went on so I decided to go have it looked at tonight. X-Ray guy was no where in sight, so I had to settle for a little TLC from nurse and the doctor hooked me up with some good pain pills! Anyway he said he was sure it wasn't broken or I wouldn't be walking around on it! So I am going to see a specialist tommorow just for safety's sake. My leg should be nice and Black and Blue by tommorow or Tuesday though. I am thinking about a trip out to Dumont perhaps this weekend though if the weather is good.

Yea been there and have done that same there off about a 5 ft. legde that dropped into a wash. Came opon it to fast to avoid it but was able to pull the front end up in time to land hard as hell, and thankfully injury free, thats when I completly understood this aint no dirt bike. Any higher drop off I would have been hurttin for certain. Hungry Valley- conveinant, for L.A. residence, cooler temps in summer, crowded on weekends, 4000ft. elevation I think, kinda of a mountainous desert terrain and hurts like a SOB to dump it there, hope your ok there T.

All Tony needed was a good 10 MPH and he woulda been O.K! Hahah How is the knee today? Next time I go to Hooooongry Valley I'm going to remember to bring a jacket even if it's 110 here in SVC. It was a nice crispy 80-90 here Sunday & we get to Hungry Valley & it was cloudy in the lower 60s!

That's where I broke my Back in November.
Pronghorn trial following some dirt bikes in the dust. Didn't see a root sticking out and it caught my left front wheel.....ouch.

I pulled a similar move at glamis, flew off a 10' drop to a flat landing on my wifes 400ex (keep in mind that I am 6'6" 265lbs). Pulled off the landing just fine, but it hurt. It was actually pretty funny, just the landing bent the stock handle bars down 45 degrees on both sides. not to mention I bent all four rims. I was suprised I didn't bent the axle. I had to sit for about 20 minutes to recoup before I could drive back to camp. Luckly no bones were broken that time.

Also, about the temperature switch for the fan, I have had the same problem, make sure you seal up the spade connectors with silicone or moisture will get in there and it will happen again.
