Dial a jet kit for Raptor
#2
Hey gary, i installed one on my warrior before buying one for the raptor. i wanted to get my feet wet before wrestling with the dual carb setup. anyways, installation was a snap. i ride all year round...ice, snow. 90+ degrees, Mountain trails.etc. the warrior is piped and has a pro-flo filter.
instead of rejetting, i installed the dial a jet. Heres why: with the filter and pipe i would have had to jet up. when you add the dial-a-jet, u need to jet down a size or two. this would have brought me back to stock. so i just installed it with the stock jets.
Yes i noticed a diffrence. the throttle is more responsive and the dial actually works. this winter i was riding on the ice (studded). the throttlr is pretty much pinned the whole time, as opposed to the trail riding i do in the warmer months. anyways i was bogging on the top end. it was nice being able to just pull over and Click! click! rejet on the fly.
i have deemed this product worthy of the raptor and will be adding it this spring
i have some pics of the dial-a-jet in Myphotos
did this answer your question?

Thanks for the reply. Apparantly a "snorkle" kit is recommended as well (filters air)? Do you have this kit on yours? Rocky MTN has 'em for $100 and 2 snorkle kits are required on the rap for $20.
