I saw lots of built and tricked out DS's at snake hunt. You guys do not mind putting big dollars in your rides. The 3 fastest quads at snakehunt in my opinion that raced were samcoeds, dsmike and the bom. The rest of us were all pretty close to one another. Dunedevil was spraying nos and most of the DS's that i was running were on Alky. It is a good thing i added 4 inches to my swing arm or my trip would not have been as good. The drag races were great. Biggerisbetter has made the biggest improvement since the last time i saw him.

 

Thanks to all the DS guys at snake hunt for making me feel welcome. Lots of nice bikes. I had a blast at the drags. My DS was the one with the chrome cases and aluminum heel guards. Had a blast talking to Biggerisbetter and others. Sorry not so good with names. I was so excited I dont remember many names. Thanks to Quadman650 for the tip on no alc pilot jet. It really woke my DS up. Got to get a swingarm. Anyone have any advice.

WOW it sounds like the DS's held their own pretty good.. 14 you are right, them guys with the (real)fast DS's sure have some $ into them.

It was cool meeting you, Your ds is in the top 5 for show&GO!! for sure (DuneDevil,and Samcoeds,and Bigheadcereals are the other 3). Your quads stand out in camp, and on the strip.


I know thier were atleast 8 quads that were neck-N-neck in racing, ME, Rooster,hurycne,Bigheadcereals,dunevevil(off NX),14mins,Crafty,Mrmeaner,Kansas alkyrappy, I know I missing a couple.

DSmike, THE BOM, and Samcoe are a level above, and we didnt get a chance to see SCOOBY run, but we all know he is thier also.

Made for some GREAT!! racing!! and trail riding, although the V-force was holding people up and they kept getting stuck! LOL. I think everyone wanted to lead! LOL.

I know what kind of times ds mike runs, I was wonder if any other of you guys race at 300 ft drags strips. If you do what kind of times do you run and what kind of surface do you run on?

I dont have a 300ft time but I took a couple of buddies to a local paved drag strip and got some pretty good times. It was my first time at a 1/4 mile. The start took a little getting used to. My DS still had stock piston with slip on and CDI. I ran low 15's all day.My best time was 9.338 at 70.65 mph at 1/8 mile and 15.148 at 80.46 mph at a 1/4 mile. It was so much fun. We plan to go back soon and try again. Now my quad has a few more goodies on it. I wonder if I can make a 1/4 mile on alcy with no fuel pump?????????? Dirt wheels did an article on a guy in Canada racing his DS on an 1/8 mile strip and his time was 9.9 at 65.5 mph. Guess I kicked his butt. Le me know if anyone else has run the 1/8 or 1/4 mile.

 

When you can run the 1/4 in under 11 seconds, then I will be IMPRESSED!
