W-Tech or Gas Gas???
#2
since the W-tec eraser leaves the engine option open... so you can put a number of engines in it, top speed of the machine depends on a number of things including horspower output, max engine RPM, gearing, & tire size... all of which vary depending on the application. depending on how you set it up, it could possibly see speeds near 100 possibly more.... however, the W-tec is only produced in limited quantities(about 100 per year) and is only imprted through one dealer here in the US. do a search on eraser in the sport & performance forum, you'll see my opinon on it there too.
the Gas Gas HP is already being imported in quantities greater than that, has a proven race design using proven parts & materials and already has a dealer network in place.... and Gas Gas has been producing world class enduro and trials bikes for well over 25 years... they are not going away. this being their first quad to put into mass production, it does have some bugs to work out(mostly very minor), as does any new machine, but from what i've gathered GG intends to build a good product... and that's part of why i am buying one.... the other part is it's what i've wanted any of the big manfacturers to build for a very long time... a current technology 2-stroke single in a race designed chassis with great suspension.
bang-for-the-buck, i'd say the Gas Gas is ahead by leaps & bounds over the W-tec... yeah they look like they're the same price, until you go to put an engine in the W-tec.
