I have paid off a few with yamaha, the financing is not bad if you pay it off early. I have never had to pay the full finance charge, just their special deals, like 3.9%.

But, like you, I did not get the titles, they sent a lien release. I had to go to my courthouse and get a duplicate title. No big deal, just kind of a pain.

I am sure you can do the same.

Yeah, I have the Yamaha card but only use it for the special deals then pay it off before the interest gets to the norm which is outraeous!! Just give it time, I have purchased 6 bikes from them in the last 3 years. This is how they do it. After you pay off the bike and they have received the funds in thier bank then you have to wait two weeks before you can even ask for the title, I dont know why but thats thier policy. If you ask for it before then, you wont get it because they will enter it in the computer and it wont accept it. I have never had a problem getting my title from them besides the waiting for the two weeks after paying it off.

Are you guys talking about your Certificate Of Origin For A Vehicle? Or is the Title different? Just wondering cuz I never got one with my first quad. But I did get a Certificate........ with my new Raptor.

I sure dont know what that thing is and never heard of it, the title is a peice of paper that shows who is the owner of the vehicle and the Department of Motor Vehicles want to see that when you purchase a vehicle from someone. Its like a deed to your house but this is for a vehicle.

the certificate of origin is what the manufacturer sends out with the new vehicle, whether it be car, motorcycle, trailer whatever. Then the first time it is bought a title is made, and if financed it is usually sent to the lien holder.

I talked with household when I paid off my first machine, all they sent was a lien release, I called and they said they send that out when they cant find the title. I had this happen with them everytime, and my dealer said it happens all the time with every lien holder.

It is a pain, but I dont think it is that big of a deal.

Well it says that at the top of the certificate and it has the v.i.n., make, model and all that stuff on it. Then it has my name and the lien holder on the back. It came to me as certified mail about 2 or three weeks after I bought it. Have you guys had to pay personal property taxes on your quads?

Out of my 6 quads the only time I got a lien release is when I refinanced my Raptor. All other bikes they sent me the actual Pink Slip is what we call it here in California.
