For the first time, some one with there own atv went atv riding with me today. I have had pasengers on mine before. My cousin and his wife. they have a polaris 250 4x4 1993 non named atv. I asked. they have 4 thousand miles on theres. We went on quite a journey this evening. They got stuck about 3 times and his wife got off and he got out. I told him to get rid of those nobie tires and get some mud tred tires. I found out today that my backup fan is not working. My red light came on twice. I then stoped nocking down dead trees for my cousin. He dont drive over logs like I do so I was nocking them out of the way. I stoped doing that. My red light stayed off then but i do have to get that fixed. I supose its either the sensor or the thermostat? I really gave my 26 inch mud bugs a work out. We found lots of deep mud and crossed one creek and the edge of a pond and I drove through many deep muddy pot holes. I think I understand my mud bug tires now. I like them more today. I am also glad I made it out on my own with that red light problem. No red light when I stoped nocking everything down. I am totally wore out and will clean my atv tomorrow. i got back after dark. Our logging road actually ran out for about 100 yards and my atv was climbing over brush and rocks and trees and hills and at the same time. My atvs front end was even jumping up in the air. I am totally beat but enjoyed the day with my cousin and his wife. This was after putting on my extended mud skirts early in the day. I thought it would take about 1 hour to do. It took 2 of us 5 hours. I actually had to remove the rear storage rack and back frame so i could drill new holes to install the wide mud skirt. Plus, half my old mud skirts were the normal large bolts and the rest were those pop rivets. I had a hard time removing the pop rivets. the holes did not match and had to drill new holes. then use sillicon sealer at the end. Much more work then I pictured in my mind. No body says polaris makes it easy. I did not get muddy at all today so the new mud skirts worked. hip hip horray!. I would have to say that my xpedition 425 cc 5-speed and I are ***** out!. rangerchet

Glad youre having fun rangerchet. My fan quit working last weekend. It was the sensor. You can find the lead going to the sensor, unplug the connector, and jumper across the 2 wires. By doing this, the fan is on whenever the key is on. This may be a temporary fix for you if it actually is the sensor that failed
