chunky, I can't tell you about the outlaws 'cause I've never owned any, but I have the 589's on my Grizzly and I LOVE them. They'll pull me through just about anything. I've read on these forums that the outlaws don't have a very smooth ride on hardpack, but they're supposed to be a good mud tire also. My 589's seem to ride pretty well on hardpack and do great in the mud, so I'd say get the 589's but that's just my opinion. You may want to go to the "drivetrain, suspension and tires" forum on this site and ask this question, maybe you'll get more responses. Good luck.
