I just had to let this out. I finally found a place by me that I could get the wolv up to top speed.
It's a huge corn field that has one straight side about a mile long. I was being paced by a 500 sportsman and topped out at 62 mph [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] on his speedo! His speedo might be off a bit up top, but man this bike flies! It took a bit to get from 50 up but when you got the room it just keeps going faster.

It did this last sunday! The guy riding the sportsman was my brother in law. It's a 2002 sportsman and he was right next to me.
My sister got mad cause he really needed a drink after that day of riding! We did quite a few things beside top speed runs!

Next time we'll have to bring his hand held GPS to double check.

I'll tell you one thing on freshly plowed soil the wolvy seamed like it was floating on air at that speed.

 

How close is the Wolverine to the SP500 in a drag race? I know my buddy out ran a pre - 500HO just the 500 on his stock.

 

Not really sure about a drag race we weren't racing at the time but figure it would be pretty close probably depending on rider weight. My friends sportsman isn't stock he's piped and jetted so he can just outrun me.

 

Ah i see. If you dont hunt or do alot of work with your wolverine, you should look into modding it a little. It gets alot of when you do it. Then you could waste him.

 

I meant to say, it gets to be alot of fun when you do it.

Thanks as soon as I get that winning lottery ticket I should be able get started on the mod's. I have lot's of plans for it but first I gotta buy me some land to have some fun with it.
