This is a guess but you can own stock at 18 so why not a quad.

Good dang question
I think it 18, but that makes very little sense, because I owned a car when I was 15

California has got to be the stupidest state in the union

I can't find a good answer on this.

On the web site www.california-rates.com help page I did find the below:

Age
The government monitors lending based on the age of its applicants. However, age is not an optional item. Lenders must determine if applicants are old enough to enter into a legal contract, typically age 18 or older. Please enter your age.

and

California Department of ... Proof of ownership
is required which could mean a ... my a legal guardian over the age of 18. ...

Its got to be 18.

Why don't you just call your local dealer. They would know.

I do believe that technically anyone can own a car, land, or even an atv at any age. However, you may not legally operate a vehicle until a certain age. But as for a just having something titled in a childs name, I dont see that as a problem UNLESS the tax people have issues with charging a minor personal property tax in your state. That being the case, I think as long as the parents list the atv on their personal property, so that they pay the taxes each year, that would work too. It may be different in each state though. Good luck on your search for knowledge!
