Hey what does a case saver do?...

And are the 40mm lectron carbs good?...better or equal to a Keihin 39mm FCR?

It protects your case if your sproket breaks, i think...

 

i mean if your chain breaks my bad..

 

Yeah, it saves your case if a chain breaks and swings around and slaps your case. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt. but its a healthy 30 dollar investment.

 

Great investment...the new EX's have a steel saver already installed...I put an aluminum pro-design case saver on the raptor and when the chain broke going off a jump it wadded up between the frame and C.S. The case saver did its job and saved me a ton of money and time

 

Anyone know if there's a case saver that works with a 16 tooth sprocket?

 

Same here, I put a 14 tooth on my son's 300ex, and had to take the stock steel case saver off to get it to fit,don't like the idea of running without one.

 

The pro-design was thick enough on a 400ex to grind/shave enough material to allow clearance Clarence.

 

On 250r's there are no case savers that allow a 16th sprocket. Even if there was there was a case saver there wouldnt be enough material on it to save the case

 

I just did a little grinding on my case saver when i put a +1 bigger sprocket on.
