I have a friend who's dad is in financial trouble. He has a '99 or '00 (not sure which) Arctic Cat 500 4x4 manual shift for sale. I have never had a Quad before, so I am seeking advise from the experience here. It has 200 miles on it and has seen only mild hunting duty and mostly sitting on a screened in porch. It is spotless and has a Warn winch, front and rear racks, rear deer stand holder, and camo cloth covers for the plastic. I will be using it for hunting, riding the kids around the neighborhood, light trail riding,etc. He is asking payoff of $3500 and I may get him off that a little. I may be able to just assume payments of $157/mo. Any thoughts on this first machine for a newbie? Thanks in advance. Rob

sounds like a real good deal dont let this oppertunaty to get into some real fun for you and the kids pass you buy or you'll kick yourself in the butt for it later. this is a good deal go for it. and your wife and kids will have fun with it too, next thing you know you'll be buying the wife or kids one so thay can come out rideing with you.
