Glamis NOT re-opened YET
#1
/Hey guys,
I did a search and didn't see anything about this, so I went ahead and posted it. The BLM has NOT re-opened the 49,000 acres of Glamis that the enviros had gotten closed because of some little plant. They will monitor 33K acres for a year to see if anything changes. Seems like progress to me, although the closure should never have happened.

a small victory for the OHVers!!! woohoo!!!
I heard that they were thinking about doing this... I'm glad that it actually happened. Perhaps real science will show that there was never any just basis in the closures in the first place. That will be a good thing, because then this ammo can be used to discredit the garbage science that the Sierra Club and others typically flaunt and wave their hands around.

This is not a small victory, this is HUGE! The closue of 49,000 based on junk science was the Crown Jewel in the hat of the Center for Biological "Diversity". If this is true, its time to hit that wall, Im out!
I just want Comp opened back up so the idiots go back there, Im headig to Olds at night now...

Next time try reading the 1st paragraph in the article. Here it is for you to re-read:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued an opinion that clears the way for the reopening of more than 49,000 acres of southern California desert closed several years ago to off-highway vehicle use, the American Motorcyclist Association reports.
I can't wait until they are though!!
I will edit this thread.

I just got off the ASA site and didnt see anything about it, so i was going to come back here and correct this, but I was beaten to it!
Yes, the OPINION is a good thing for sure, but NO it does not mean the dunes are open yet.
So I guess Ill stick to China wall for now!
