Well just picked up a new '03 400 4x4 manual atv yesterday and took it today. Really like the ride of it compared to my rancher but I was curious what kind of range you guys are getting on a tank of gas. We ran about 30 miles today and used up about 3/4 tank of gas.

 

I just checked mine, ('03 400 manual), and I got 54 miles out of 2.9 gallons last time I ran. Based on what I can see from my gas gauge, the bottom half of the tank is way bigger than the top half. It only takes about 1 gallon to go from 1/2 tank to full.

 

i have a 500 manual but everytihing else is the same and i find that the fuel gauge lies i go by how much fuel i burn. try filling it up resetting the tripomiter do a good ride and fill it up again then go by how many Gals to the miles. i burn about 8 ltrs of gas almost 2 gal to 30 miles witch is about half a tank and my gauge says that it has a 1/4 of a tank left so i bet yours is the same. i hope this helps.

 

WOW! My 250 gets around high 30's to low 40's per gallon. I can go around 100 miles per tank.

 

My buds 02 375 didnt start to get good milage until long after 600 miles.

 

I have 70 miles on mine and I did a 30 mile ride and the gauge reads about 1/4. when I refulled I only put in like 2.5 gals. So it looks like I am holding true to what has already been said

 

i'v never ran mine out of fuel to see how far it will go but i figure around 60 to 70 miles to a tank thay say the tank is 18 ltrs and i get about 30 miles to arounr 8 ltrs of gas but thats also alot of trail sand hill and mud bogging with alot of on and off the gas so i think thats not too bad.

 

Mine only has a total of about 150 miles on it, so hopefully it will only get better.
