I use amsoil 2000. I found yamalube loads up when not riding real hard thru tight trails.

In the summer I use Valvoline synthetic 20W-50. In the fall through spring, I use 10W-40

i use( powroll micron moly oil) it is a 100% paraffin based oil with what they call a friction modifier (whatever that is )all i know is that it makes my four strokes run a lot quieter than other oils that i have used.the powroll is about 8 dollars a quart and yes i know that is very high but after talking to them about how much it reduces friction and prolongs engine life i tried it and it works very well.this oil is made for four strokes that are ran hard such as racing applications or duning like i do and i can tell you that it doesnt seem to break down under harsh conditions.personally i trust the knowledge that powroll techs have about four strokes because they have been in the business longer than anyone that i know of. i believe if you can get past the price it will help prolong engine life or at the very least make your motor run noticeably quieter IMO.

duneittilludie: It's not good to use anti-friction oils in motorcycle or quad engines cause of the clutch system. Just thought I'd let you know, you might want to check into that.

BIGBUBBA-i agree that normally the clutch would not work correctly with a synthetic with friction modifiers but i have been running this oil for over a year and a half now and i have not noticed any problems.this oil is manufactured specifically for motorcycle and atv engines and it is what powroll recommends for race applications.i may eventually go back to a normal blend of oil for my raptor because of the cost of the powroll oil but it does make your quad run quieter.
