My dad just bought an 02'Vinson 4x4, automatic, w/ 27 inch titans.......its only giot 240 miles. Everything is in great condition, it looks brand new......are these good atvs, how are they for trail riding with those big tires...can anyone let me know what to watch out for, if anything?

My friend has the bigfoot kit for his and he has already broken 2 cv joints. He has switched back to the stock tires and rims. I just bought a vinson manual trans. friday. lots of fun.

 

Lots of fun with the stock tires. Can you get the original tires from the guy he bought it from? The big tires will cost you some fun unless you mostly ride deep mud.

hey, their pretty good quads, but my clutched sportsman outdragged it. Not by much, about 5 or 6 lengths on a 1/2 mile road. good quads though. oh, by the way, i raced a automatic vinson.

do you know what size tires he had on when he broke his cv joints????

 

they are mt 589 26". he is breaking them in reverse.

 

i looked on berts website and they have a heavy duty cv joint for about half the cost of suzukis. suzuki wants $500+ for theirs.

 

I've got 26 inch Mudzillas on my Vinson automatic. Without the rim, the front tire weighs 26 lbs. and the rear 34 lbs. I do a lot of deep mud riding and I drive her in and out of the mud really hard and I haven't broken a thing. if you ever met the guy you would probably figure out in a couple of minutes. he is a wild and crazy nut. he has to ride today with no 4wd because ups supposedly lost his cv joint. it is still under warranty.
