First ATV -- 02 Artic Cat 250 2X4
 

I got my first ATV yesterday a new 02 Artic Cat 250 2X4. I got it from a friend that bought it last fall to hunt with and never used it. I wanted a 300 but at the price I got this one for I couldn't pass it up and I think it is the same frame as the 300.


I have a couple of questions though. I drained the gas in the tank and the carb and refilled it and it runs great but what is the breakin procedure to follow on the 250? It has only had about 20 minutes on it so far. In how many hours do I change the oil and what oil are you guys using?


I want to get a winch for it especially since it's is a 2X4. What winch do you reccommend and can you buy a kit with the winch, wiring, and mounts included?

You will need to change the oil after 20 hours of driving it. Yeah you will definately need a winch. Don't get the crank winch and I have not come across a whole set of the winch and attachments all included on the internet. I have in a store in my town but they don't ship. But thats no big deal. You can always buy them seperate no big deal.
