dose the 650 have more ground clearance then the 500 , wider then 500 , taller then 500 or is it basically the same as the 500 just hase a bigger engine and a few more mods added to it? and dose it only come in automatic?

Go to arcticcat.com and that should tell you everything.

It is listed as having 1" greater ground clearance. Mostly, it is probably due to the tires. They are 26" vs. the 500's 25" tires.

yes because of the 26 inch tires thats hoe they get the 13 inch of clearance and for now you can only get it in an automatic and i,ll let you know how it goes as soon as mine comes in i was told beginning of september i,m iching for that machine like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Specs indicate that it is slightly lighter dry than the 500. Plus it has a 6.5 gal fuel tank and an electronic AWD switch on the handlebars. Awesome machine.

Specs are essentially the same but the stated wheelbase of 58 inches is longer than the typical 500i which has a wheelbase of 50 inches. This is a real concern as it will compromise clearance and manouverability. The 58 inch wheelbase is the same as the two up model and the tub model. I cant believe they would simply borrow the longer frame and fit the 650 and fuel tank in and call it a new machine. I am further confused that the 650 with it's loger wheelbase still has the same overall length as the 500i. Something is wrong somewhere.

I looked at some TRVs and the 650 is not that long, 58" must be a type-o in the brochure.

It is a typo. However, it would sure make a great hill-climber!

I agree, it must be a type-o.
The 2 500's with the 58" wheelbase have a 96.25 overall length, where the 500 auto has the 50" wb & a 81" OL, same as the 650.
The same can be said about the weight of the base model of green or red VS the LE model. The LE has the warn winch/remington frt bumper & does weigh 680 pounds.
The green/red 650 should read as 644 #'s dry not 680#'s as stated in the 2004 model specs.
