Sunday I went riding with a couple machines, one of which was a 1985 Honda Big Red (3-wheeler). Well, the 3 wheeler ended up getting a flat, had a stick sticking right out of the tire. I broke out my plug kit and had to put three plugs in the hole. Next came the CO2 cartridges. I wasted three of them before we realized that the side wall had a slice to large to repair. Okay, what now? Let try to tow her out. We rigged up a tow rope several different times trying to get this ol' machine to tow. Too rough, too rutty. This ol' girl just wanted to lay down on it's side and get dragged out. Well, thats not going to work, lets try something else. We ended up all four of us lifted up the rear of ol' Big Red and set the rear tires on my rear rack. Strapped it down real good and used bungie cords on the handlebars to keep the front (tire) straight. It was only about two miles out of the woods but the Autocat was really top-heavy. I was pouring sweat by the time I got out of the woods. Took alot of work going from one running board to the other, being sure not to let this old piece of s@!* Big Red roll my machine. Made it out okay, over rough terrain, through mud holes, over big rocks, and up & down hills. Turned out to be quite a (fun???) challange. I'll get a pic or two on the net as soon as I see them!
