I'm not expecting much from this but here it is. Does anyone make a locker for an Arctic Cat? I haven't seen one from Highlifter I know. Lately I haven't been impressed with my limited slip, though it hasn't prevented me from going anywhere. It would be easier though if it was locked. I'm not looking for any homemade ideas either. I think if I get into it this spring like I did last, then my quad will be so full of shiznit that it will look like a "Third-World" refugee owned it or something. A rack extention here, a boot guard there, here a bi-claw, there a tri-claw, everywhere junk junk!

Andy Because of the Front differential design it is ALMOST imposssible to make a locker for our Arctic Cats.

I got the locker idea the other night in a dream. Crazy huh. I didn't say anything because I didn't know if the AC's could have a locker put on and I didn't want to be ragged for saying it either. Yea and you know who that is directed to don't you.

I know that the 4wheel truck club I use to go wheelin with several members had welded their diffs permanetly,I wonder if this could be done with AC diffs if so it would be worth a call to your dealer to price a diff in case you ever wanted to undo your desision.

I think I would test the Automatic's front differential first. Either that are see if the 300's front differential would fit my 500. (Remember the 300's differential locks)

Andy...Before you do something drastic that can't be reversed, you must realize that what you gain in one area, you lose in another.
A friend of mine recently put a locker in his Ultramatic. He said that it definately has more traction, and pulls hard up hills ( has'nt tryed mud yet, cause its winter here ) but he can't turn any where near as sharp as he could before, and it is almost uncontrollable at high speeds on flat surface. Give it some thought.

I had thought that out, and decided that if it was possible, I might even do it.

Pretty good Tree Farmer how you edited me, and still were able to keep the post on the same analogy while still being politically correct.

Gracias. I want to climb all the steep hills, pero no tengo los huevos!
