I own a 05 500 auto. has anyone put ITP mud lites on?
I am considering going 26-10-12 on the front and 26-12-12 on the back on c5 rims. After the bad reviews I have read on this bike with bump steer etc I don,t want to make a $800 bad investment. I am just getting back into atvs so at this time I am only used to the radial tire ride. Any help would be appreicated, esspecially if you knew how long it took me to type this.

only one person with a 400 that i know put the mud lites on and the bike steers better and does alot better in the mud. where he got stuck with stock tires, crawled right through with the mud lights. there are two types of mud lights, his are the XL (extra large) tread. more aggressive tire. oh his are the stock size and are also on the stock rims. $220.00 mounted for all 4.

I have 26/10/12 and 26/12/12 on my 01 500 AC Auto and love them. I have about 600 miles on then and they are wearing well.

If it bump steers, the the front end alignment is not right.

I run 26 inch mudlites on my 03 500 manual. 10 inch in the front and 12s on the back. I love them. Last year we were hunting and my buddy had a 03 400 auto with stock tires and I could go in two wheel drive where he would get stuck in 4WD. As a joke, I went backwards through the same hole he was stuck in. No problem.

They wear good. I have about 1500 miles on them, mostly pavement (we can ride them to work here on the roads) and they are still about 90%. They have been great in mud, rock, hard pack. Not that great in sand but there is not much here anyway.

Basically a great tire, Id highly recomment them!

thinkin about buying the same kind of tire. Friends keep telling me to go with the 27's, 10 in the front and 12 in the back. Any thoughts on this decision?

Too much larger will equal a significant power loss.

Ebay has the same setup for around 540 not 800! Also supergrips are the same tire as the mudlites and are a little cheaper. there a little harder tire so should last longer.

I wouldn't trade my mudlites for nothing. I duck hunt in the Delta Gumbo and people are amazed at some the stuff I go through. Rice are no problem. The tire wear has been great. I think I paid like $200 bucks for mine and had them mounted to the stock rims. No problem with bump steer here either.
