Default 06 400tbx gushes fuel!

Ive got an 06 tbx 400 with elect choke, Ive been having fuel gush out of it like crazy from the overflow valve. I took the carb off and cleaned and checked the float, 4mm like its susposted to be.

Reassembled, and it still does it. I took it off again and adjusted the float, it still does it.

I was thinking that it was a problem with the electric choke cause when I pump the manual choke it squirts fuel into the float bowl, and the elect choke could be doing that constantly right? , so I unplugged the electric choke, but it still does it.

Its got a vaccum pulse pump and when I pinch the vaccum from it, it start to stop leaking but it will eventually die.

I was thinking that the fuel pressure from the vaccum pump forces the float valve down and constantly fill the float.

Has anyone ever had this problem, and how did you fix it?

Thanks.

Never heard of that problem before, I would take it back to the dealer if you can.

My response exactly catterman. Why do these guys screw around with a machine under warranty and possible void said warranty doing so. Sounds like a stuck open needle to me. If there is dirt in the needle valve, adjusting it helps nothing. I doubt the vacuum pump can produce enough pressure to over ride a properly working needle valve. Take it to the dealer.

Ok, new update. Took it back to the dealer, Brand new carb installed. It went from pouring out to not leaking a drop.

2 days later, it leaks again.

Im thinking that there is junk in the gas tank cause its a brand new carb, something else is making it leak.

Im having to take it back, have the tank cleaned and the carb as well. Im taking blame for not checking my gas can, Im going to have an inline fuel filter installed as well.

Might check (or have the service guys) check your fuel lines. Mine was leaking some fuel and just happened to have the seat off when I started it up. Fuel came squirting out of the fuel line. After looking it over, the line looked 20 years old on a 6 month old machine.

I know I'm a couple years behind, but I just got my cat last year and I'm still all giddy.

While mine stays pretty close to the house, I would hate for someone to have a line break out in the back country. I keep a few tools on mine, but I doubt anybody carries extra fuel line with them.

Well congrats on your AC, and I am glad you are excited about it. I was just poking a little fun at you. Never can tell, someone may have a similar problem and do a search and your contribution to the solution just could of help. Keep your comments coming and it is ok if you want to poke some fun back at me.

I really like the AC. I have the TBX model and she gets used more as a work vehicle around the property (towing trailer with wood or a trailmower) than for running trails. Every now and then the old lady lets me play though.

I have a bit of a reputation for being able to tear up a wedge and so far the AC is holding up to whatever I've asked for.

With the nice ride you have, why are you on a horse? I guess with gas prices the way the are, riding a 4 legger may be cheaper.

My horse can go places my ATV can't. Not only designated trail issues, but also the horse can swim and climb over rock walls and to straight up over mountains and I don't have to worry about running out of fuel etc... lol..
