I picked up my new tires today. First impression is good. They look like they will take me anywhere.They are the same size as stock, the one suprise I got is the diameter, they are slightly smaller than the stock Titan 489's. The guy that mounted them pointed out that they don't flatten at all with the weight of the bike and rider like the stock tires did, I think he was being strait with me, as he did not sell me the rubber. It looks like in the end I might lose 1/4" to 3/8". But I don't think it will be noticed as the tire looks like it will pull me through anything. I will get out on Sat and get some better info. I was shocked to find that the bike steers easier than with the stock tires.The ride has not changed unless I am going very slow [1-2mph] on hardpack, at this speed my teeth might fall out.

You will like them, I have had mine for almost a year and they have treated me just fine. Tried them out in the snow a couple of weekends ago and they really pull. Aczr2k

aczr2k, what size did you put on the bike. Also how do they perform on getting over logs on the trail or climbing steep hills. I am thinking that in these situations that the stock tires might be better.

What did you think about the weight of the 589's? How deep are the lugs on the tire?

The lugs are at least an inch if not more. I did not measure but I will. As far as the weight goes the tires are pretty good. The rears 25x10x12 are 27lbs and the front are 20lbs 25x8x12. This is an overall gain of about 24 lbs for all four. The 589's were as light or lighter than all else that I looked at.

Did you purchase your 589's from Rocky mountain ATV?

No, I bought them here in Nova Scotia from my dealer.

I went with the 27X11X12 all the way around. They go over logs and up hills with ease, I have yet to be let down, unless I have gotten high centered. They are quite rough at slow speeds 1-2 mph, but it is unoticable at any other speed.
