So im riding tonight in the cold of ND and after about an hour of riding or so, I see a deer, so i figured why not chase it. I give it some gas and try to slide through a turn. I may have hit the breaks a bit while giving it gas, but if i did not much at all. So i'm leaning into the turn and the ATV just shuts off on me. I figured i just hit the kill switch by accident, nope. I figured somehow the battery just died, but the fan was on, as well the lights. The digital display was off, and i can't get it to turn back on. Luckily i wasn't far from home, and i managed to get there with the ATV (don't ask) and i checked it over and i don't know why it did this.

Any insight would helpful. By the way it has less then 100 miles on it, it was really cold out, and i saw the deer on my way home and i cursed at it.

Somebody on another forum suggested that i check the fuses, I did that and found that the ignition fuse was blown. So hopefully that is the only problem. I will replace it tomorrow when the strores are open and hopefully that was it.

It was the fuse, got it fixed, runs fine now. I'll make sure i carry some spares from now on.

I would check the wiring harness for chafing, especially up near the pod. A fuse shouldn't blow unless there's a short somewhere, or the connector corroded from moisture. I know replacing fuses is easier than removing the plastic panels, but that's easier than the bike shorting out completely in the dark, miles from home; replacing the fuse only to have it blow again, leaving you to walk home in the dark and cold.
