2005 dvx 400 oil change
 

i get 2005 dvx 400 tomorrow

whit no work shop manuel

i do and oil change and have difficulty to figure out i suppose is the same way off bomb. ds650

1 drain a oil tank and the case and the case have one or 2 bolt , tranny and motor is the same or not ???
filter is in the right side of motor i suppose

what quantity of oil i put in it and i put that just on the oil tank the motor take it where running ???

im prepare to put amsoil 10w40 synthetic oil on that is ok or another type is better

I have a 250 DVX, so I am not sure if they are the same, however, the manual recommends 90 weight in the tranny and 10-40w in the engine, I went with Arctic cat brand just because mine is still under warrenty and there is not confusion if I use there brand, I am running synthetic also in the engine.

Drain both the tank and the engine - they you put back 2000ML (2 qrts Amsoil) into the tank - you have to pour slowly and give the oil a few minutes to drain into the engine before cranking - then after a 3-5minutes crank it a few times to coat the interior of the engine - then start it up and re-check the oil level in the tank after letting it settle

Amsoil ! top notch stuff must be planning on keeping it a good long time ?

Arctic cats never die they just lose weight. . . now adding amsoil witch adds 30-50% more life span. . .

I run Amsoil in everything sept the dodge it leaks. . .
