02' 500 auto bleeding brakes
Is there a trick to getting the brakes to bleed?
New master cylinder system was pretty much empty Having h#ll of a time getting the air out. Thanks |
it is a two man job. open up the bleeder and have someone pull the breaks down and with them held down tighten the bleader until all the air pumps out of the system and it is just pure break fluid coming out. do all three breaks i believe it is front left front right and then the rear right. make sure that the person pulling the breaks down keeps an eye on the master cylinder to make sure it doesn't run empty and suck more air into the system. sometimes if the breaks are mushy sometimes driving it around will work the air to either the breaks or back up to the master cylinder.

Still having a horrible time with it
Picked up a mighty vac pump No difference Nothing I wonder if I have something else going on It's a brand new willwood master cylinder The wheeler was a mess when I bought this winter tore it down went through it and replaced everything that it needed This the last of it to start running it. Don't understand how something so simple can be such a pain? |
did you trace all the brake lines? it is possible that you have either a kinked line or an air leak. do you have any brakes or are they just soft? also it is possible the pads could be woren if they are mushy. i would also take the wheels orr and inspect each caliper and break pads.
