Looks like AC isn't going to let 2016 pass them by without creating a stir. The first wave of their new models has been announced and did someone say all new quad?

I think the stir is that AC really isn't doing anything to improve their standing in the market by improving their line. 2016 is looking like a overall disappointment for their ATV's.

All thier atv's are getting a upgrade this year they are just going to silently roll them out. I have already seen some of the other models that are getting updated. The MP looks sweet

I dont understand why they didn't put the twin cylinder 700 in the Wildcat Trail in the Alterra 700. Would seem to be a no-brainer to me. Probably would be about a 15 hp boost. It would put it above the Grizzly 700, King Quad 750 and Brute Force. The single is fine but it doesn't make it stand out like that engine would have. The Wildcat 1000 needs more power. 90 hp in a 1000 twin cylinder sport machine when everyone else is making well over 100 hp just isn't enough. I guess the 450 sport 4x4 is gone from the lineup. It lacked power as well, probably the biggest reason it didn't sell. I would have reintroduced it with the 700 twin as well to be able to really compete against the Renegade and Scrambler. It may still be available as these apparently are not all the 2016 models but most likely not in the form I suggested.

Wait, isn't it 2017? :) I don't think Kymco stuff is junk, btw. Big difference between Taiwan and the Peoples Republic.

greg, that new 700 model sounds pretty interesting for $5,995, I think it's a new 2017 model. That is a strong motor! No bells an whistles, but a nice bike.

Obviously spoken by someone that knows nothing about atv/utv construction. If Kymco is such crap why are they building over 50% of the drive trains in utv and atv's on the market for various brand name manufacturers. Why did they build 75% of Honda's powerplants up until the early 90's when Kymco decided to go on their own and that is why Honda chose to drop them, and look at the problems Honda has had since cutting the ties with Kymco. You should really do your research before making unsubstantiated statements.

Got to remember that adding that second cylinder adds a lot to the price tag! For utility machines that extra expense of a second cylinder is hardly noticible. Look at John Deere, there 550 model is a twin cylinder with a high price tag and the slowest UTV in there class with a top speed of less than 30 mph. In a performance machine that is another story but for utility purposes why spend the extra bucks for a couple HP.
