Has anyone heard anything on the new arcticcats for 2002 specifically 500cc and up.

Right now my dealer says "you'll know when I know and that's June 1st". He says that AC is being very tight lipped about the new models except for the 90cc version. He did say that there was some talk of a 300 auto, but it's just a rumor. All they will tell him is to expect some major changes (whatever that means). Last year it was new graphics and black rims. So right now your guess is as good as everyone elses.

I haven't a clue as to why I duplicate posted twice. Sorry bout that.

On Arctic Cats website or whatever it is the dealers have acess to they list a 500 4x4 auto catTRUCK. My dealer showed it to me today,it was listed in the warranty area as a 2002 model. The only other 2002 model listed so far is the 500 4x4 auto.
There weren't any more specifics we could find other than these two model numbers.

Dealer told me 2 biggest things he thinks will change are 1.) auto option for 300 and 2.) selectable 2x4/4x4 option on 400.

A ATV magazine in Canada reports there will be 5 new cats before fall. The only model talked about are a kids quad and an auto 300. The magazine has a web site at "ATV-MAG.COM" .

Rumor from Thief River Falls is this. AC is going to put their 660, 3cylinder liquid cooled engine in a 500 frame with an auto tranny. It will have selectable 4WD just like the present auto. The weight will actually decrease about 25 pounds. Now don't tell anyone. We don't want those other brand buyers to know.
