Default 2000 arctic cat 300 4x4

Have had this atv for 2 years using for yard work. One day started smoking bad and lost conpressiin adjusted valves and had compression and lost again. Its was at 25 psi so i decided to do piston rings. Took it apart turns out bore was bad so bored .20 over. New pistion and rings and reinstalled everything according to the manual i have and i have only 70 compression checked over everything 2 twice still same result. But i adjusted valves out to me too loose and got 150 compression. I know valves aint suppose ti be this loose but idk where i went wring or mayb out of time still but maybe some can help. Thanks
